Welcome to J.Klein Art Photography! I hope you enjoy viewing the many images posted on our website as much as I enjoyed shooting them. Viewing the glory of the natural world through a camera lens has been a consuming, life long passion of mine. It all began when I discovered a forgotten darkroom, it was the size of a closet and an uncle of mine had created it years earlier in my childhood home in Seattle. After the great adventure of refurbishing my new darkroom, my love for the eye-through-the-camera was born.
Ansel Adams' masterful use of natural lighting, artistic expression and technical expertise became the touchstone of inspiration for me. I devoured ansel's comprehensive, 5-volume Basic Photography series as my guide for choosing equipment and process. Many years have pass since that time. My studies in advanced Chemistry ultimately landed me in the Research Laboratoreis of the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY. After two plus decades as Photogrpahy and Materials Scientist, I returned to my beloved Pacific Northwest and the mountains I have loved from my youth. I treasure the pleasure of touring special places in the world and would like to do more. Yet life in the foothills of the Cascade range, with a view of the paragliding center of western Washington from our deck, Rainier National Park, the Olympic National Park, Pacific Ocean beaches, the wintering grounds of Snow Geese, Trumpeter Swans and Tundra Swans so close, my shutter keeps busy! - Jerry Klein

Our Team
My work wouldn't make it beyond my personal office without the support and assistance of my special "team." That special team is my wife, Cindy, who brings a myriad of expertise and application that makes this all possible. Cindy is a lover of beauty and therefore, creates beauty. She is the one who does everything, outside of the computer. This she happily claims is my sovereign domain. Each image, whether for canvas or card, passes her critique. Each piece of art is printed in our home studio and is hand finished by Cindy. Any questions you might have regarding images, custom orders, ideas, suggestions etc, give Cindy a call or email, and she will be happy to help you! And, oh yes, Cindy received her training at the Art Institute of Portland.
